I soak the Einkorn berries the day before and let them begin the sprouting process overnight and then cook them in the morning with some cinnamon and a little celtic salt for about 1/2 hour. Then add nuts and fruit. Very chewy and easy to digest and delicious!
I cook berries as you direct but then I make a savory serving from this by adding almonds, kalamata olives, green onion, avocado, sunflower seeds, grape tomatoes, and feta. I then sprinkle it with lemon juice, salt and pepper. It is wonderful added to any green salad or as a side dish.
About the savory changes: I forgot to say I only use water as the liquid and don’t use any sweetner. Sorry for this oversight!
Oops! We did reverse the water and berries. Sorry about that! It’s corrected now.
Not enough water, I believe the measurements were reversed. It burns because of not enough water, turn the measurements around, and add more salt.
1 cup of water to 2 1/2 cups of beries doesn’t seem like enough liquid.
How many servings or what volume results from this einkorn berry cereal recipe?
